例を示します。実際の音が聞きたい場合、英語youtuberだいじろー先生のこちらをお勧めします。

1. 連結：音が繋がること（発音記号は変化しない）
   • リエゾン：rの音が繋がる
     • far way（ファラウェイ）, your eyes（ユアライズ）
   • 繋げ（w）：
     • do it（ドウィッ）, go out（ゴwuアゥ）, how easy（ハゥウィズィ）
   • 繋げ（j）
     • day after（デイヤフタァ）, try again（トラィヤゲン）
2. 同化：音が繋がること（発音記号が変化）
   • /t/, /d/ + /j/, /t/, /j/ の合体
     • get you, got you, could you, would you, let you, mind you, can’t you, send you, glad you
   • /s/, /z/ + /j/ = /ʃ/, /ʒ/
     • guess you, miss you, things you, allows you
   • /n/, /l/, /s/, /z/ の後の /ð/
     • on the table, all the time, close the door, was the…
   • /n/ → /m/ one point, open box
   • /n/ → /ŋ/ one kind, one guy
   • /d/ → /b/ had my, had people
